OUR STEP BY STEP PROCESS
At Startex, our strengths are design and value engineering. Whether it is a consumer lighting fixture that needs adaptations for increased durability, a high-end inspirational piece that needs to be created on a budget, or a brand new concept we collaboratively develop, Startex utilizes our expert team to create custom products. The below 8 step process outlines the details of custom product development to ensure alignment between Startex and our clients.
1. PRODUCT FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT
The initial process begins with a discovery conversation between Startex and the client to understand product performance requirements, the goal/usage of the product, and any design mandates or priorities.
2. PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
The client provides any mandated specifications. The Startex design and engineering teams will provide other product specification recommendations.
3. STARTEX PROVIDES QUOTE
Startex works with its manufacturing facilities to establish costs. The client will receive pricing based on the minimum order quantity, or total quantity needed.
4. RECEIVE CLIENT APPROVAL
The client provides Startex with a purchase order and signs the Startex Custom Order Proforma that outlines product description, price, minimum order quantity, lead time and terms. 50% deposit is required. (If engineered drawings are required, they will be provided at this time.)
5. PROTOTYPE AVAILABLE
Startex can provide product images for review, or a physical prototype sample can be made available to ship. Prototype development adds additional time and fees.
6. PRODUCT MANUFACTURING
Startex completes product manufacturing at its partner facilities in China. When completed, products ship to the Startex warehouse in Addison, IL.
7. PRODUCT SHIPS
Once final 50% payment is received, Startex ships products to the delivery address on file.
8. CLIENT FEEDBACK
Startex follows up with client to ensure 100% satisfaction with final product.
